dog fouling

Robert A says:
Hello I am fed up with dogs fouling, whether its by irresponsible dog owners or just through neglection, this is unfair on the children when they go out to play, and most annoying when they are playing in the parks,I would like to see a more severe penalty as its a hazard and a blot on our environment.

Children are now at a greater risk than ever before, I would say inconsiderate dog owners are now in the majority as so few are cleaning up after them. I am trying to get considerate dog owners to sign up to GREEN DOG WALKERS a non confrontational approach to other dog owners to encourage more to leave only paw prints.. Green Dog Walkers wear a green armband to show they remove the offending matter and encourage others to sign a pledge to do the same, and carry spare bags to give to others should the need arise. It also needs the support of the general public to report dog fowling in their neighbourhood. If it is not reported then the powers that be assume the area is free of dog fouling.

I hate this too. I was in Glasgow Green one day and a guy let his dog do its business, I said to him "I hope you are going to clean that up" he said "I dont have a bag with me as I didnt know he would do it" I produced a bag from my pocket and said "No excuse now" and he proceeded to give me a mouthful of foul language. I wish there was more patrols and bigger fines for this.
