The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games - what does it mean for you?
Public events looking at the progress being made on the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, and plans for the legacy from the Games, its transport arrangements and environmental commitments, will take place at five centres across the city between 9 February - 17 March.
I am delighted to formally invite you to attend “The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games – what does it mean for you?” for the East Glasgow Community Planning area. This will be an important opportunity for members of the public and community groups in the East to learn more about the city’s plans and ambitions for how the city and it’s residents will benefit from the Games. The event, which is hosted by Councillor Archie Graham, Deputy Leader and Executive Member for the Commonwealth Games, will give people the opportunity to contribute and find out how you can get involved and build a positive legacy from the Games.

Engage Glasgow Annual Report
In autumn 2007, the Glasgow Community Planning Partnership commissioned Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector to develop on their behalf, the Community Engagement Database, known as ‘Engage’.
Engage is a powerful resource that provides users access to information and data about Glasgow’s community and voluntary sector organisations.
Engage Glasgow has released its first Annual Report. The report highlights the uses of the database in its first 18 months of existence, and provides a summary of some of the key characteristics of the community and voluntary sector in the City.
